Shawn was at the absolute darkest place in his life: addicted to heroin and meth, selling drugs, a DJ at a strip club, and facing a federal indictment for obtaining drugs from a police narcotics evidence locker. He knew he was supposed to move away from where he lived and try to make a fresh start. So, with $272 to his name, he went to another city and checked into a low-end weekly rate hotel.
